With Indian/Dutch heritage, she grew up in Islington, North London. Fascinated from a young age at the art of sound design, she spent much of her youth in the very same musical establishments she now has the pleasure of playing at a true technologist at heart, she has successfully navigated the corporate world of IT and is now taking the electronic music industry by storm due to her desire to create immensely moving pieces of art in the form of electronic dance music.

No one could have predicted that a competition to be mentored by the hugely talented Trance Producer, Andy Moor – at no other than the Ministry of Sound in London, England, would be the start of such an impressive career to date. When Decimel won the competition in 2014 to be mentored by Andy Moor it was a dream come true, she was a long-time fan of his atmospheric and progressive tracks, from this day forward, Decimel made it her goal to learn not only how to DJ but how to produce epic and emotional trance. She speaks straight from the heart – “Making music is like an anatomical heart-string – no one can see how it feels, but you know what makes you feel good, music is my healer”.

In 2015 Decimel was announced as a Trance.FM resident and had secured a number of high profile gigs internationally in both Amsterdam and Ibiza. 2016 sees Decimel’s productions come to life, having spent over a year in the studio she has found her sound, her “musical heartbeat” as she calls it. Decimel’s immense passion for everything she does leaves fans from all genres gravitating towards her unique style, fusing trance, techno and house – you never quite know where her sets will take you, that’s the beauty of it all, the element of surprise, with seamless mixing skills, you’ll understand why she packs rooms out across the Capital frequently.

Citing just a few of her influences as Deadmau5, Andy Moor, Eric Prydz, Eelke Kleijn and Gareth Emery, Decimel feels “the learning process never stops, as music is constantly evolving, as are our idols, we have to allow that natural evolution of sound”. Decimel has played Main Stage with the likes of Paul van Dyk, John 00 Fleming, Heatbeat, Mauro Picotto, Grum, Jordan Suckley, Solarstone, Paul Webster and Signum to name just a few. Her regular appearances at Ministry of Sound, London, have shown her ability to captivate any audience and many more to come!
